What is Tarot?
The Tarot deck consists of seventy-eight cards, divided into two sections, commonly called the major and minor arcana.
The trumps form the major arcana, and consists of twenty-two cards numbered from 0-XXI with familiar images depicted on them such as The Lovers, Strength, and Death, and these cards often refer to major themes in a person’s life.
The minor arcana consists of fifty-six cards divided into four suits, typically called the Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles in the esoteric Tarot; these often refer to more mundane and immediate circumstances.
What kind of questions may be asked?
While the most common questions surround relationships, health, career and money, we can consult the Tarot regarding anything you have in mind.
Often people who have never had their cards read before prefer general readings, and that’s perfectly ok.
Tarot’s great at highlighting areas of our lives that need attention and focus; it can act as a gentle guide reinforcing the continuing effects of the past, what’s happening now, and opportunities to look for going forward.
Can Tarot tell the future?
The Tarot can give indicators of a likely path based on current circumstances, but ultimately we each decide how we approach life and determine what course should be taken. The Tarot can only act as a guide; it cannot guarantee a future outcome.
We each have free will, how one interprets and incorporates the information received during the consultation will determine the outcome, the cards themselves have no direct influence.
How does Tarot work?
I view Tarot as a divinatory tool utilized for perceiving influences and relationships that exist between all things in the universe, and bringing those relationships to light.
Tarot often reveals clear insight into current positions and situations, as well as objects and people which have a significant influence (whether subtle or overt) on where you are now in your life, where you have been, and reveal conditions that will be responded to or acted upon in the future.
